The condenstop fleece prevents dripping and keeps building contents and insulation dry. Essentially condensation occurs at night when the temperature inside a building is warmer than outside. First introduced 15 years ago condenstop was and is the clear market and technology leader. Moisture condensation is common where humidity and temperature fluctuations occur outside and when conditions or activities inside a building create moisture.

Warm wet air rises and meets the cold roof and cools. If it gets too much it will run down the underside of the cap and out onto the sheets below. However not all homes have these things and on occasion contractors will even install metal roofs on homes without roof decking. Left untreated unwanted moisture can damage wood and cause corrosion of metal decking roof panels.

Those drips from ceilings and surface moisture occur when warm air comes in contact with the cooler roofline or walls. I suspect that you may have excess moisture in the roof assembly. This is a normal occurrance with any roofs you just see it more with metal. That excess moisture ends up as drops of condensation on the roof.

Any condensation that does form to the underside will hang there. This video shows what a significant condensation problem can look like. Plus the current emphasis on creating more energy efficient or more airtight buildings can actually trap moisture inside the building. As it cools it can t hold as much moisture.
